Council of German Observatories

Research and Science

The Council of German Observatories (Rat Deutscher Sternwarten, RDS) represents the common interests of all German astronomical institutes against funding agencies, governments and international organisations. It currently has 38 member institutes.

Chairman of the RDS is Professor Dr. Joachim Wambsganß, Zentrum für Astronomie der Universität Heidelberg (ZAH).
